Context4 Healthcare is thrilled to announce that our Medical Director Dr. Steve Nesnidal has earned certification as an Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI), an important healthcare anti-fraud professional designation from the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA).  

About the NHCAA and AHFI

Since its inception in 1985, the NHCAA has been widely recognized as the leading national organization focused exclusively on the fight against health care fraud. Its members consist of 90 private health insurers and public-sector law enforcement and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over health care fraud committed against both private payers and public programs.

Established in 2002, the AHFI certification is granted to individuals who meet specific qualifications related to professional experience, specialized training and demonstrated knowledge in the detection, investigation and/or prosecution of health care fraud.

Dr. Nesnidal’s Road to AHFI Certification

Context4 Healthcare has been an active member of the NHCAA since 2014. After joining Context in the role of Medical Director, Steve Nesnidal, MD, CPC, AHFI also became a member of the NHCAA. Dr. Nesnidal worked to satisfy the professional experience and continuing educational credits required to apply for certification. Prior to the application process, Dr. Nesnidal attended comprehensive NHCAA educational opportunities offered at yearly NHCAA Annual Training Conferences, in addition to many pertinent sponsored NHCAA FWA webinars. Dr. Nesnidal passed the NHCAA comprehensive test on June 26th, 2020.

In the eyes of the premier healthcare fraud organization in America, Dr. Nesnidal has certified expertise in key FWA areas:

  • Nature and Scope of the U.S. Health Care System
  • Business and Operations of the Health Care Insurance System
  • Prevention, Identification and Detection of FWA
