NAPERVILLE, Ill, (December 16, 2021) – Context4 Healthcare, Inc., a leading provider of healthcare compliance and pricing solutions, announces today the completion of a series of presentations on the important procedure code changes for 2021.
Dr. Steve Nesnidal, Context’s Medical Director and leader of the Medical Content and Compliance team, presented information on the critical changes in both CPT® and HCPCS coding for 2021. These included the new Covid-19 codes required for testing and vaccine administration, along with the new Evaluation & Management (E&M) reporting procedures released by the American Medical Association.
In addition to the procedure code changes, Dr. Steve provided insight into potential fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) situations that payers may want to look out for with the new codes and procedures. He noted the automated editing that the Context 4 Medical Payment Integrity solution will have in place to safeguard payers for these new potential FWA concerns.
